My son, who is now in high school, needs a backpack for all his books and stuff. Every year, we would buy one in August and, usually by the end of January or early February, we would have to buy a new one because the first was so beat up. Well, last year my wife and son wanted to get this Swiss Gear backpack and I, being the family cheapskate, was against it because it cost twice as much as the standard generic ones we were buying. I didn't want to spend the extra money just for his "style" and thought this one would also be ruined by mid-year. It was two against one, so dad lost and we purchased the Swiss Gear.
