This backpack is good but feels as though it was built with a compromise in mind between different demographics and how it would be used. I should tell you I am pretty hard on backpacks as I am a full-time student and commute via bike and train nearly everyday. I am fairly active outdoors but this isn't my first choice when planning a trip, so keep that in mind. I will try to keep this brief and only stick to the points not covered in the product information from Amazon, which is really the only reason I am reviewing this as I depend on reviews to make purchases here all the time so I figured I would give everybody a heads up. As I said before I don't think this is a backpack for anybody that plans on using it for day trips or light hiking because of the absence of a sleeve for a water pack, in addition to the total lack of being able to strap or tie any extra layers of clothes to the back. The included rain slicker works as you would hope but the strap keeping it attached to the backpack is sewn so you can't remove it for separate cleaning or adjust it for a better fit when the backpack is bulging.
